Tim Hurley was retained in a case where Defendant Company allegedly made material and false representations and omission to shareholders while defending against a hostile takeover attempt from Company X. In this case, he described the general process through which one public company can acquire another publicly traded company, and to provide his opinion regarding the prospective Company X acquisition and the actions taken by the management and directors of Defendant Company to fend off the multiple acquisition offers from Company X.
Tim Hurley, throughout his entire 30+ professional career, has assisted corporate clients in raising capital and in implementing merger and acquisition transactions. He has been involved as a financial advisor in numerous merger transactions including both large acquisitions such as the acquisition of American Credit Company by Barclays Bank PLC, as well as much smaller transactions such as the acquisition of Buller Owens & Associates by Aris Corporation, which at the time was a publicly traded company listed on the American Stock Exchange. He has personally directed most of the merger and acquisition assignments in which he has been involved.
