Vega's research team remains on forefront of litigation trends and is able to proactively strategize how economic analysis can effectively strengthen our clients position. We draw on expertise in corporate governance, corporate regulation, investment management, econometrics, and survey analysis, and are well positioned to help our clients anticipate and respond to emerging ESG trends and developments in a comprehensive manner.
Below is a list of example engagements for our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practice:
Financial Analysis for Renewable Energy Project Site: Vega Economics was retained by a direct air capture company to evaluate a pro-forma financial model for the bid to develop a renewable energy project site.
Standards and Practice of Business Negotiations in M&A Transactions: Vega Economics was retained to support Professor Guhan Subramanian at Harvard University in an arbitration brought by a company that owns and operates renewable energy facilities, including solar and wind assets, against a law firm. Professor Subramanian analyzed and opined on the standards and practice of business negotiations and addressing potential conflicts related to closing the underlying transaction.
Survey of Consumer Preferences for Eco Labeling: Vega was retained to support Professor David Gal from University of Illinois at Chicago in design, implementation, and analysis of a consumer survey to measure how peoples' willingness-to-pay for certain disposable products is impacted by the labeling of environmental benefits of the products.
